Here is our Christmas fun in no particular order. Building snow forts, gingerbread houses and Christmas morning which Olivia slept through most of. It was our best Christmas yet we had so much fun being at home this year. Probably going to run into some problems one day with the clock in the picture of our Christmas tree before the kids saw it but until they learn to tell time we're good. They had so much fun opening their gifts and Dylan saying "oh I can't believe it", and "Santa remembered", and Connor with "this is what I was waiting for". Christmas's are getting more and more fun every year with these kids, they are so crazy but pretty fun too. Almost every night Connor asks me if Santa is going to come again and bring him more presents, it will be a long 2010 at this rate.

First Day of Life

Here she is on her first day of life. Olivia Claire arrived December 12th at 11:16pm. Weighing in at 7lbs 13oz and 21 in long she is officially our runt, and we couldn't be happier about it. She is an amazing baby. She is super mellow and a beautiful baby. We can't stop staring at her. She rarely cries and her brothers are so in love with her. Dylan of course is a good help, he wants to hold her and then he's done after about 30 seconds. But he needs to know where she is all the time. If he can't see that I'm holding her he asks where she is. Connor on the other hand could hold her all day. He can't walk by her without stopping to kiss her head and say "Hi baby girl". He's always telling me "our baby girl is so cute". And I have to agree. She is lucky to have these big brothers, for now anyway. :) We are all doing well, just trying to adjust to a life with another member among us. I must say everyone is doing a remarkable job. Kenny is the best help EVER. Cooking, Laundry, I did nothing but hold my new baby for the first week of her life. Kenny gets up with the boys, gets them ready and off to school, feeds them and plays with them. He's the best, I consider myself a lucky woman to have him.

I don't even know how many different posts I just did. I had over 500 pictures so I just picked a few and here it is. The last of our time in Kansas City, (we're home YAY!! Kenny doesn't get to come home for another 9 days though)and some stuff when we got home. We had a Rees family reunion in Loa that most of my family made it to. We had a good time swimming and parading and just hanging out.Then we went to Capitol Reef and let the kiddos run around a bit. It was too hot and I'm too prego to do much hiking but it was really beautiful there and the kids had a good time chasing lizards around anyway. Good times.

We got to spend the last part of our time in Kansas City with Janae and Kolbie. Connor is OBSESSED with Kolbie, thinks she's the best thing ever. Hopefully that will carry over to his own baby sister. But I'm pretty sure I am Kolbie's favorite person. (ok I'll exclude her parents for courtesy :))

The boys favorite thing was the pool in KC. It was an awesome pool too. Especially on sundays when Kenny could go too. The boys are sporting their Euro swim trunks from aunt Sarah. They love them, and they're super cute in them too.

Dylan and Connor both had birthdays in July. For Dylans we were home and he had a few friends over to party. They decorated cupcakes and played on the slippin slide. For Connors we were in Kansas City and we had a party with Kenny then went to the petting zoo later on. We also got together with most of the Cox cousins (Kolbie was missing) for a picture, wow it even turned out. Connor got the cowboy digs for his birthday, best gift ever.

So I totally prepared myself for a boy. Three boys, I was going to go gray very early. Then she says I think this is a girl. A Girl?!! Really? Then I see it, her little girl parts, and they're AWESOME,just like the rest of her. YAY!!!! A girl. We are SOOO totally psyched. I can not wait to meet this little person growing inside of me. I wonder what she'll be like and what she'll look like. (she better have at least one of my features) I have a feeling she will rock our little boy world to its core and I can't wait. I have never been so excited to shop in the girl section and make little pink (maybe purple :) )blankets to wrap her up in. I can't believe it!!

We have Arrived!! ok it was a while ago but now I am finally documenting it. I even remembered to do it backward so the newest pictures are last. Yay for me. Anyway this is the boy's summer room and outside our apartment flying kites, they were awesome. And playing in the sand volleyball court. Love sand playing, HATE cleaning up after it. I don't understnd why little boys have to pack it into every crack, crevis, and pocket before they're done.I had a sand box in the tub when they were done and I'm still washing it out of their hair. Punks. Anyway it's nice here, tons to do and now it's getting hot, and humid so we're glad the pool is finally open.

This museum was awesome. Everything inside is to teach kids about science. These places are the best part about leaving for the summer. The kids had a BLAST and Kristen and I were entertained as well. Good times.

We trecked through a jungle to find this place. Then discovered there was a much easier route. Huge park with an awesome leash free dog area. The boys kept suckering people into letting them throw their dogs balls into the water to retrieve. Since Roky is far from interested in fetch.

Amber Jenacee and I took the kids to a petting Zoo for the day. We saw the biggest fish ever, then connor caught a fish (just a small one) but guess who had to put the worm on the hooks for the boys. That right ME. I tried to get the hook out of the fish's eye afterward but it was freakin' out (understandably)and some guy came to the rescue. They had a BLAST.

We went to Manti two weekends ago to play, Kenny took his guys down to have a little fun playing paintball (which I had never done before came back bruised and clear full of burs but had a blast despite it all) and eating a ton of food. Dylan and Connor had a ton of fun swimming in the hot tub with Kenny, playing on all of Grandpas fun toys and eating as many snacks and treats as they could manage. I guess that's what Grandparents are for and that's why they love it there so much.

Okay so I don't claim to be an American Idol Fan. I do however watch it every week with Kenny, so draw your own conclusion there. But thanks to tivo I get to fast forward Paula every time she opens her mouth (not that anyone can hear her through her tafeta anyway) which is awesome cause she is SO annoying. If anyone saw last nights performances for the most part they were only ok. But Adam Lambert gave the most Amazing performance. After much trial and tribulation we finally got a tree and got the flippin' thing in the house. After much more trial and tribulation we got the flippin' thing to stand up straight, and then after a little more stand up straight for longer than five minutes without tipping over. So here we are getting the light and ornaments on.

Somehow I escaped the actual act of Thanksgiving dinner with no pictures... It was great. Good food of course and a ton of Cox's gathered at the Manti Senior Citizens Center. I did get a few of the week with the fam though. We spent three days in Manti with most of Kenny's family. The kids had a blast. Good times. We realized Kenny hadn't been there since before the summer. (oops)

Now that I think I've loaded all the pictures I want of the trip I have to say, Europe was amazing. The history was overwhelming and so awesome. We watched the Gladiator shortly after returning from Rome and it was so cool to see it all and recognize things and places. Touring these places was so much more of an education than we had anticipated. The people were great, the food was amazing, the places were all very picturesque and we will definitely go again...and again. However I have never been so proud to be an American. I never realized how much the rest of the world relies on America, for everything. Not only political influence, which was quite a bit, we were very surprised. Europeans follow American politics closer that most Americans. Everywhere we went people were commenting about the election. The candidates were in the news almost as much as they were here. Crazy. We felt very ill equipped to discuss any European politics. But its not just politics. It's everything, movies, books, clothes and especially music. We heard more American tunes than anything else. I'm convinced that's how they all learn english, they listen to American pop at the grocery store. We loved all the places we went, it was an experience of a lifetime to be sure. But when we came through customs in New York and heard all the loud Americans being all bossy and saying welcome home, I wanted to sing the national anthem. I was so psyched to be able to read all the signs and talk to all the people. I went to the grocery store yesterday and I could read the ingredients of everything. Not to be taken for granted, knowing what's in your frosted mini wheats. Anyway point is Europe is a really fantastic adventure, great place to visit. The U.S. a really great place to be born and live.

Well I finally did it. Joined the mob of bloggers to document my day to day life. Ok really I just did it to document our wicked awesome trip to Europe and show pictures to all. (And so a few select friends would stop asking me to do so) :) So here it is: Kenny, Rachel and sons.

We just returned from our first European voyage, and it was awesome. We went to Belgium to see my sister Sarah and her family then toured from there. Paris, London and Rome. What an amazing experience, really. The boys were little champs. We drug them all over the place, planes, trains, buses. Museums, ruins, monuments and of course a trip to Disneyland Paris for the sanity of the little guys, who will probably never want to ride in a stroller again.

Our favorites include: Paris-The Louvre, Arc de Triomph, Notre Dame, Sacre Cur London-House of Parliament, West Minster Abbey, Tower of London, British Museum
Rome-Colosseum and Forum, Palatine Hill, Pantheon, St. Peters Basilica, Trevi Fountain.
